You are here: Global Settings > General > Settings > Period Formats

Period Formats

In this section, you will find a setting that applies to the formats used to display dates and periods.

Date format for periods

Here you enter the date format that should be the default format in date fields in the system. There are 3 different formats:

1 = YYWW,

2 = YYWWD

3 = Date according to the settings in Windows, for example YY-MM-DD.

The Date alternative is selected by default.

Please note that if you use alternative Date, the Short date format should be YY-MM-DD and not YYYY-MM-DD. This is configured in the Regional Settings under Language Settings in the Control Panel in Windows. There you should click the Customize... button in the Regional Settings tab and then the Date tab.

For customers and suppliers you can also enter a specific date format that will then apply for all forms that are printed for the customer/supplier in question. A customer/supplier specific date format overrides the format that is selected here using this setting.
