Geometric Shape
This is where you select the geometric shape that will be calculated. The geometric shape determines which dimensions that can be entered in the weigh calculation table in the window. The following shapes exist by default:
- Rectangle - used to calculate the weight of sheet-metal, profiled tubes etc.
- Circle - used to calculate the weight of round bars, pipes and tubes etc.
- Angle - used to calculate the weight of angle bars, L-bars etc.
- Area - used to calculate the weight of parts with a more irregular cross section that has a specific area.
- Hexagon bar - used to calculate the weight of a hexagon bar, with a diameter expressed as the distance between two opposite sides.
- Weight per unit - used to calculate weight based on the weight entered in kilos for Intrastat/shipping for the part in the Update Part procedure.
