This is used during Quick Reporting. Enter the quantity (number of parts) that you are reporting. By default, this field shows the rest quantity that exists on that order or part. You can also report a quantity that is greater than the rest quantity. You can even enter a negative value, for example if you want to correct a previous reporting error.
