Calculate New Finish Period
(Default) This setting determines if the system shall calculate a new finish based on the loading plan and available material. If you check this setting, the section Calculate with will open with the following alternatives.
Loading
If you select this alternative, the new finish period for operations on the manufacturing order will be calculated based on the priority of the operations in the priority plan. This calculation is the basis used when calculating the new finish period for the entire order. When you have selected this alternative, the following alternatives will be available:
Only Work Centers with Reliable New Finish
This alternative will only calculate the new finish period for operations with work centers that are configured with the setting Reliable new finish under the Miscellaneous tab in the Update Work Center.
Against Master Plan
If the setting above is configured, this setting will make an overload analysis of work centers that are not configured with the setting Reliable new finish. The analysis checks if the work center has an overload the week when the operation will be run.
If a work center has an overload against the master plan, the OB and the hours are displayed in red under the Result tab.
Only Bottlenecks
This alternative will only include the work centers that are configured as bottlenecks. The Bottleneck definition means that the work center has got a well-defined capacity that you can trust in this type of calculation.
Material
Here you select if you want to check available material made for the incorporated material in the structure. When you have selected this alternative, the following alternatives will be available:
Explode S-part
(Not default) Here you can select to explode the incorporated S-parts. The explosion is made to find a manufacturing order for an incorporated S-part that is included in this order. This manufacturing order will be analyzed in the same way when it comes to loading and material for the incorporated operations and material.
