What Does This Procedure Do?

This is where you can see current tool information, as well as additional information from different logs where the tool appears. The Tool Info is an important and central procedure in the system, since it can display all the existing tool information from anywhere in the system.

Tool Info

You can open the Tool Info procedure anywhere in the system by right-clicking to open the Info menu and using the Tool Info option. The Tool Info is then linked to the tool that is loaded in the procedure in question.

The Tool Info window is practically the same as the Update Tool window. For additional field descriptions and information, we suggest that you read the Help Function for that particular procedure.

On the heading row you load a tool number. Here you will see the Name, Group, Type and Balance. You will also see an entity number, if any. On the heading row you can select the alternative Tool log in the Info menu when right-clicking.

There are four tabs in the window:

• General - contains general information about the tool.
• Adjustment / Calibration - contains information about adjustment and calibration for Special tools and Measuring tools.
• Purchase - contains information about possible supplier links and which one is “current” or active, as well as tool expenses.
• Planning - contains information about withdrawals, reservations and planned purchases / sales of a tool.
