If you allow overtime for this group, the Allow overtime box should be checked. If not, all the other overtime settings will be greyed out.
Round-off Overtime During
Here you will find the following selections:
Overtime Recording in Flex Zone
If you want to allow overtime recording within the positive flex zone, you must check the Overtime recording in flex zone box.
This now allows the employee to record overtime instead of adding time to the flex balance, if any clocking-in/clocking-out is registered outside of the regular working hours but still within the flex zone. Please note that overtime is rounded off according to the Round-off overtime setting.
Round-off Overtime
The Round-off overtime setting is where you indicate how great a portion of each hour should be rounded-off downwards for worked overtime. For example, if you enter 0,5 hours, then employees can only register multiples of 30 minutes as overtime. This means that 80 minutes recorded overtime will then be registered as 60 minutes.
Calculate Overtime
The Calculated overtime field allows two options.
Salary Type According to Overtime
Activate this setting if the overtime salary type is not affected by the time the overtime was recorded.
Overtime Limit Before/After
These fields only appear if you do not allow Flex time, or if you allow Overtime recording in flex zone. If flex times are used, the flex zones will work as overtime limits, since they will not allow overtime to be registered within the flex time zone. However, it can be done if you allow overtime recording within the flex zone, and that is when you can enter overtime limits.
The overtime limits force employees to clock-in/clock-out at least XXX number of hours before/after regular working hours, in order to register overtime. This setting is often used to prevent small overtime records to be registered every day (such as a few minutes outside regular working hours). This may be useful if combined with an overtime question, please see the Settings.
Salary Type for Makeup
If you allow recording of overtime makeup hours, then this is where you enter the salary type that should be used to register the overtime. This applies to all employees that belong to these Group Settings.
