Configure MONITOR for Recording Computer

One or several computers will work as recording computers and be placed on the shop floor. For Windows and MONITOR users, following must be prepared before the recording can be started:

Add MONITOR to Windows Autostart

For MONITOR to start automatically when starting Windows, you must create a shortcut to an exe file in the Windows Autostart directory.

Add the Recording Terminal to MONITOR AutoStart (My Windows)

For the Recording Terminal procedure to start automatically when starting MONITOR, you must create following menu item under the Settings | My windows:

Make sure that the Visible setting is activated in the Settings | Customize procedure.

Maximize MONITOR's Procedure Windows

Enter the following row in the user's ini file [username].ini, that you will find in the MonWin\ini\ directory:

Now the procedure windows will be maximized when starting.

Remove Menus and Toolbars

Use the Settings | Customize to add/remove menus. The changes will then be permanent for the user.

Purge the Six Latest Procedures Shown in the File Menu

Under File in the Window menu, you find the six latest opened procedures as shortcuts. If they have not been purged, you can start these procedures even though you do not have the user rights.

These are purged if you delete the following rows in the user's ini-file [username].ini, that you will find in the Monwin\ini\[company number]\ directory.

Please note that this is not the same ini file as in the section above about Maximize MONITOR's procedure windows.
