Structure

In the Structure section you will see a Closedstructure map that shows an overall image of the different selection groups included in the configuration group as well as the available selection alternatives for each selection group.

The Structure Map

Each selection group in the structure map has a symbol that shows the selection group type. The selection groups in the structure map are the same as the ones shown to the right in the Selection group section.

You can maximize a selection group by clicking on the plus sign or by double-clicking on the name in order to see the underlying selection alternatives. They are the same selection alternatives as the ones shown in the lower portion of the window under the Selection Alternative for Selection Group section.

Selection groups can be arranged in several levels in the structure map, which means that a selection group can be a subgroup to another selection group. By using "drag and drop", you can move the selection groups around with the cursor, for example to make one selection group a subgroup to another selection group. This can for example be useful if a selection group contains many selection alternatives. If you can divide these into underlying selection groups, it will be more clearly arranged. You can also create rules for selection alternatives in order to exclude a selection group from that selection alternative.

If variables are applied and you have selected Use variables on the configuration group, you will see Variables at the top of the structure map.

In order to use variables, you have to active the setting Use variables under the Product Configurator under the System tab in the Settings procedure.
