An alternate preparation code can be entered on an order row if the setting Show alternate preparation code on order row? has been activated under the Orders / Quotes heading under the Sales tab in the Settings procedure.
The alternate preparation codes origin in the operations list or the material list in the Preparation procedure. By using the alternate preparation code, the order row will apply for a specific variant of a structure part. If the setting Create manufacturing order from customer order is activated, the alternate preparation code will be saved to the manufacturing order.
The terms entered in a fictitious part's BOM list will also be exploded on the customer order.
