If you need to load data from a company database in MONITOR to external programs such as Excel, Word etc., you must create an ODBC data source for the company database that it concerns. The data sources must be created on the computer that will be accessing the data. You will find a program called ODBC Administrator in the Control Panel in Windows and also in Sybase Central, in which these ODBC data sources can be created.
As it may be quite complicated to configure an ODBC data source in the ODBC Administrator, we now include the program MONITOR ODBC data sources, which simplifies the process of creating these ODBC data sources. Most of the parameters needed to create a data source will be automatically provided by the program. MONITOR ODBC data sources is installed together with the MONITOR client. You will find the program under MONITOR ERP System on the Start menu in Windows.
