Block/Notify

Here you can block parts from order registration, reporting, material withdrawal and preparation. You can also select to notify during order registration and reporting.

Block

When selecting Block, the Block part for... window appears where you can select from what the part shall be blocked. You can view this window again by using the button to the right of the For / At field. If you have checked several options in this window. the field will then display Several....

You can block a part from the following events:

Further down the Blocked by heading is shown in red font. Here you can see the name of the person who blocked the part, date and time. You will also see a button called Cause where you can enter a Cause why the part is blocked. The Cause button has got the corresponding function as the Comments button (where it is used). You should also read the Entering Comments or Instructions in the chapter called MONITOR General Information in the MONITOR Basics guide to better understand this window.

When cancelling a block you will see the heading Block cancelled as well as date and blocked cancelled by whom. If you right-click over these fields you can, via the Info Menu, or by using the button to the right of the field, select Block log... You will then see a log over all blocks and cancellation of blocks for a part.

Notify

When selecting Notify the Message for part at... window appears where you can select at which events the part shall create a message. You can view this window again by using the button to the right of the For / At field. If you have checked several options in this window. the field will then display Several....

You can choose to notify at the following events:

Further down the Notified by heading is shown in brown font. Here you can see the name of the person who made the note for the part, date and time. You will also see the Message button where you can write/link a message for a part. The Message button has got the corresponding function as the Comments button (in occurring cases). You should also read the Entering Comments or Instructions in the chapter called MONITOR General Information in the MONITOR Basics guide to better understand this window.
