When you open the procedure, the Create tab first appears.
Here you will find the simulations that have been saved, and an indicative if they are active (current) or not. The table contains the columns Sim. code (simulation code), Name and a column where you can enter whether the simulation should be current or not.
For each simulation you will see part rows containing Part number, Quantity, Finish period, Customer code (if any), project and alternate preparation code linked to that simulation. In the Requirement Simulation procedure - just as in the Register Manufacturing Order - you can add several part rows for one simulation.
In the right portion of the window, you will find different settings that affect the simulation. This portion, including the part rows, is nearly the same as the Create tab in the Register Manufacturing Order procedure.
Under S-parts you select the way in which the incorporated stocked parts (S-parts) in a structure order shall be handled during simulation. Under Order type... you select one of the following alternatives: Structure, Plain or Without material requirement.
You can use the Generate M-order button to generate actual manufacturing orders from the simulated order.
It is also possible to open any of the procedures Requirement Calculation or Loading Selection for the current simulation. This is selected before starting the simulation. You can also choose to open both procedures.
If you use alternate preparation, you can choose the option Show terms. Read more about Alternate Preparations and Requirement Simulation.
