List Types
Here you can select different list types. The list types display different information about the location names. The available alternatives are:
- Existing - This list type can be classified by location name and by part number. You can select by location name, part number, date of when the location name was created and date when the location name was changed. Classified by location name, this list will show "linked" parts and balance for each part.
The columns of the list are location name, date when the location name was created, user who created the location name, date when the location name or its settings where last changed, user who last changed the location name or any of its settings and if the system is using the supplement Warehouse Management you will also see the warehouse to which the location name belongs.
After this you will see parts, if any, that are in locations whose name corresponds to names found among the generated location names.
If you classify this list by part number you will see the location names where the part exists with a balance.
The columns in the list are part number and part name. After this you will see location name, balance and to which warehouse the location name belongs.
- Comment - This list type can only be classified by location name. You can select by location name, part number, date of when the location name was created and date when the location name was changed.
In this list you will see the location names that have an existing comment. If you use the supplement Warehouse Management you can also see to which warehouse the location name belongs. In order to add a comment or to change an existing comment, select list type Modify.
- Incorrect - This list type can only be classified by location (Please note! location, not location name!). The list can be classified by Location and selected by Part number. This list shows which locations in the system that are not registered as approved location names, that is, location names to validate against. The list also shows which parts that are in these locations.
In this list you can choose to save the locations to the location name register so that future validation can be made against these names. The new location names that are saved become registered in the warehouse that the user is in (in MONITOR). This only applies if the supplement Warehouse Management is used.
When this list type is selected the Save heading appears. Here you can then select if all locations in the list by default should be marked to be saved as location names or not.
The columns in the list are Save, Location, Part number and Balance. If the supplement Warehouse Management is used you will also find al column for Warehouse.
Via the Info menu (that you access by right-clicking) you can load the parts for all locations in the list, to the Change Stock Location in List procedure. This enables you to move the parts to registered location names. If you are using Warehouse Management you should also pay attention so that the warehouse in that procedure is the warehouse that you wanted. You can also link to the Update Part procedure for the selected part in the list.
- Modify - This list is classified by location name and can be selected by location name, part number, date when the location name was created and date when the location name was changed. When you select this list type you can not classify by part number. In this list you can:
- rename a location name
- select if multiple parts should be allowed on a location name
- block location names
- change warehouse for the location name (only if the system is using the supplement Warehouse Management)
- add comments
The columns in the list are Location name, Allow multiple parts, Block, Warehouse (when using the supplement Warehouse Management), Comment.
If there is a comment for the location this will be indicated by a # on the button.
It is only possible to block a location name that is not used by a part.
If you want to uncheck the setting Allow multiple parts for a specific location name you must first change location for all the location's parts except one (1) on that specific location name.
If you change warehouse for a location name a check will be made to make sure that the entered location name does not already exist in the warehouse to which the change is made. This only applies to systems that are using the supplement Warehouse Management.
- Delete - This list type can only be classified by location name. You can select by location name, part number, date of when the location name was created and date when the location name was changed. In this list you can delete existing location names. You can not delete a location name that is linked to one or several parts. These location names will therefore not be displayed in the list. A text is displayed, informing you of this in the Create tab; "Only locations without links to part can be deleted"
. The columns displayed in the list are Delete, Location name, Warehouse (if the supplement Warehouse Management is used), and Comment. If a comment exists for the location name, this will be indicated with a # showing on the button.
- Location settings - This list type is only available when classifying by Part number. You can select by location name, part number, date of when the location name was created and date when the location name was changed. In this list you will see the conditions describing which location names that are approved for each part. By clicking on the Location settings button you can edit/enter conditions from this list. When altering conditions a check will be made to prevent the condition from matching any existing location name.
The columns in the list are Part number, Part name, Warehouse and Conditions.
Location settings can also be edited per part in the Update Part procedure.
