To Change Accounting Year

If you use the Accounting module in MONITOR, it is easy to change accounting year and switch between different accounting environments/years. When no other procedures are open you go to File on the Window menu and select Change accounting year.... The accounting environments available in the system are: Current year, Periodic statement, Annual financial statements (AFS) and Historical.

ClosedTo Change Accounting Year

  1. First you must close all procedures in MONITOR, so that the program window is empty.
  2. Select File | Change accounting year… Then the window Select accounting year will open. This window contains a list of the accounting environments available in the current system. The current "accounting environment" or accounting year is highlighted in pale blue. It is also possible to change the accounting year by double-clicking in the field which shows the current accounting period on the status bar.

  3. Select the accounting option you want to change into and click OK.

Under Settings | Customize... you will under the Status bar tab have the opportunity to Show current accounting period, which will then be displayed in a field in the status bar. If that setting has been activated it is also possible to change accounting year by double-clicking in the field on the status bar.
