General Information about Create VAT Report
Why Use This Procedure?
In this procedure you can create VAT reports according to the requirements of different countries. In the heading row you can enter a report number and a name of the report. You can also decide whether or not it should be a default report by checking the checkbox.
In the Report definition tab you construct VAT reports according to different countries' requirements for VAT rows and demands of how the report should be designed. Furthermore, you can here define how the VAT control should take place regarding the control of output VAT against turnover.
In the VAT control tab you register the control numbers that should be used for the VAT report.
How do You Create a VAT Report?
This is the work flow when creating a VAT report.
- Enter a new report number in the heading row. Please note that the report numbers 1-99 are reserved (VAT reports that are included in the system as standard have numbers between 1 and 99). Give the report a name and then save.
- In the Report definition tab you create headings for a number of VAT rows (for example sales) by selecting the row type Heading. Give the heading a name in the Text column.
- Create VAT rows, select VAT as row type and then enter the row number according to an official form. Give the VAT row a name in the Text column. The VAT rows that are created here should be linked to the Chart of Accounts! Select the contents of the VAT row. If the row should be included in a total row you enter a VAT row number for that total row. If the VAT row concerns output VAT, you should select VAT code. A control number can be entered for VAT rows that refer to sales and output VAT. The rows that should be checked against each other should be given the same number. The control number is defined in the VAT control tab.
- In order to create VAT controls you enter a control number and a description in the VAT control tab. The description should describe what to control, for example "Control of output VAT against turnover". The control numbers that you create will be used in the VAT rows in the Report definition tab.
This form is not language controlled! Use Save as... and copy the created report and then you can translate it to the desired language.
