Calculations

In this section, you will find settings that apply to calculations.

Default general storage overhead (SO) mark-up in %

Here you can enter a percentage that will be default for all the general storage overhead mark-ups during calculations in the Pre-Calculation, Post-Calculation and Pre-Calculation Selection procedures.

Default general subcontracting cost (SC) mark-up in %

Here you can enter a percentage that will be default for all the general subcontracting costs during calculations in the Pre-Calculation, Post-Calculation and Pre-Calculation Selection procedures.

Default sales overhead mark-up in %

Here you can enter a percentage that will be default for the sales overhead mark-up during calculations in the Pre-Calculation, Post-Calculation and Pre-Calculation Selection procedures.

Default profit mark-up in %

Here you can enter a percentage that will be default for the profit mark-up during calculations in the Pre-Calculation, Post-Calculation and Pre-Calculation Selection procedures.

Sales overhead mark-up excluding subcontracting cost?

If you configure this setting, the subcontracting cost will be deducted from the manufacturing cost before calculating the sales overhead mark-up. This applies to Pre-Calculation and Post-Calculation. It also applies to Pre-Calculation Selection if you save after the cost price or the quote price.

Sales overhead mark-up excluding material cost?

If you configure this setting, the material cost will be deducted from the manufacturing cost before calculating the sales overhead mark-up. This applies to Pre-Calculation and Post-Calculation. It also applies to Pre-Calculation Selection if you save after the cost price or the quote price.

Profit mark-up excluding subcontracting cost?

If you configure this setting, the subcontracting cost will be deducted from the manufacturing cost before calculating the profit mark-up. This applies to Pre-Calculation and Post-Calculation. It also applies to Pre-Calculation Selection if you save after the cost price or the quote price.

Profit mark-up excluding material cost?

If you configure this setting, the material cost will be deducted from the manufacturing cost before calculating the profit mark-up. This applies to Pre-Calculation and Post-Calculation. It also applies to Pre-Calculation Selection if you save after the cost price or the quote price.

Exclude setup in calculations?

If you configure this parameter, the cost price will be shown with the setup price distributed on the unit price in the summarized calculation in the Pre-Calculation procedure. If you don't activate this setting, the setup price and the unit price will be accounted for separately.

Use SO/SC mark-up exceptions in the system?

This setting lets you determine whether the system should allow exceptions for the storage overhead or subcontracting cost mark-ups. SO mark-up exceptions can be registered for purchase parts, while SC mark-ups can be stored for manufactured and stocked parts. By default, the system does not use SO/SC mark-up exceptions. Read more about this under SO/SC Mark-up exceptions and under Pre-Calculation.

Calculate reported labor cost in post-calculation from log records?

If you configure this setting, the system can calculate reported labor costs based on reportings in different work centers on the same operation. Any changes made of the cost factor in the work center during reporting will also be included in the calculation. This setting is selected by default.

Please note! Remember this before you activate this setting:
- Post-calculations can be calculated incorrectly in transitions where the log records are purged.
- Manufacturing orders reported in versions prior to 4.2 cannot be calculated this way.
- You cannot calculate this way using historical registers since no log records exist there.

The WIP List procedure, when using the combination Reported time and Planned/Reported cost factor, will also be affected by this calculation change if this setting is configured.
