You can use the Document Viewer as an independent procedure by opening the window from the Procedure menu. When you open the procedure a dialog window is displayed where you can select a file from the file system.
In this mode there are two settings that you can configure that may come in handy. Go to Settings in the Windows menu: Show file during link and Always print monochrome. See more information about them below. Read more about other functions in the window.
Window Functions
Go to File and click on Open... to select a saved file to show/view.
Use Print... to print the open file.
Go to Settings and Rotate and select an alternative in the menu to rotate the image 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
Go to Settings and Set background color and select White, Grey or Black background color. This only applies to drawing files.
Go to Settings and Show file during link in order to determine whether the file should be shown or not when linking files to a record. This is the default option. Uncheck this option in order to speed up the registration of many links at the same time. The selection you make will then be applied by default when the Document Viewer is opened when linking files from another procedure.
Go to Settings and Always print monochrome to force all printouts of linked documents to be printed in monochrome (black-and-white). Monochrome printouts can be a useful alternative when printing color images/drawings on a black-and-white laser printer. These printers will try to interpret the colors in a grey scale, which may make it impossible to view certain nuances on a printout.
Go to Settings and click on Properties for Document Viewer... in order to configure certain settings concerning the viewing filter RxViewX. Only the user ADMIN has access to this alternative.
