If you select Material follows operation, the system suggests reporting with the material consumption set to the planned values on material rows. Once you have loaded the part, you can modify the planned values before reporting.
Material follows operation is selected by default if the setting Automatic material reporting during Operation Reporting? has been configured under the heading Orders under the Manufacturing tab in the Settings procedure.
If you select Suggest rest on operation the option Material follows operation will be unchecked. But it can be selected if you want the system to suggest the material consumption for the finished quantity that was entered in the operation rows
If you select Suggest rest on material, you cannot select the option Material follows operation. The rest material will then always be suggested to be reported.
