If you use alternate preparations, you can display the term Alternate Preparation Code for the manufacturing order row. You can then select an alternate preparation code from the part's preparation that will apply to the current order row.
If the alternate preparation code is changed for an existing order, a window will appear asking if you want to Synchronize with preparation? If you click Yes, the Adding / Replanning procedure will open automatically. Here you have to perform the actual synchronization on the correct level in the structure. Read more about this in the MONITOR help function about the Adding / Replanning procedure under the heading "Synchronizing with preparation". However, if you click No in answer to the question about synchronization, the alternate preparation code will not be changed on the order.
Order placement will take place according to the terms that have been entered in the Search Form. If you have set a term for Alternate preparation code for the part in the preparation, it will be taken into account here. Read more about how terms and conditions affect manufacturing orders under Alternate Preparations and Manufacturing Order.
