By selecting this setting you can choose to make a supply analysis. This is made in order to see how the work center will be supplied.
In order to make a supply analysis, you must update the priority plan. This is made by selecting Display List in the Window functions. When you have selected this setting, this selection will remain the next time you open the procedure.
To the right of this setting you will find two information fields (provided that the setting is configured). There you will see a total of operations and hours for the operations that you expect to run according to the current priority plan's New finish.
The columns P and M in the priority plan describe how much work (operations and hours) that is planned. The supply analysis result shows what "R and M" will be, meaning the number of operations and hours that can be run according to the priority plan's New finish.
The new finish in the priority plan suggests the time when to start the run. You can not compare against the master plan since it can contain lag (lag means that you will not be able to run on time). So the actual question is: "Will it be possible to run according to the Priority Planning?" (for the work center in question).
The supply analysis result also shows the number of operations that you will not be able to run at the present according to the new finish since they are not supplied by previous operations.
There are two conditions that affect the run:
The existing priority plan shows the new finish and the new finish according to the supply.
The columns Supply and Cause in the priority plan are used for the supply analysis. For each row with an entered period in black font in the Supply column, you will see a cause in the Cause column. The Queue days and Subcontract days columns are also used for the supply analysis. These columns show if it possible to prioritize/catch up.
Please note that all columns as of the Supply column are empty if you do not activate the calculation with the setting Supply analysis.
See descriptions of the columns in the chapter The Columns in the Priority Plan.
