The Cost field is used to price "non-productive" time with a fixed hour cost per indirect work code.
You can see this cost in the Statistics procedure under Authorize / Adjust in the Workshop Info module. If the work is linked to a project, you can also see the cost in the Register Project procedure under Projects in the Accounting module.
