If you check this option in the Terminal Settings, all recording at that terminal must take place via the card code that can be registered in Update Employee. The card code is usually entered using a card with a magnetic strip that is swiped in a special magnetic card reader.
This restriction can be convenient to use for attendance recording, since it means that you must use your personal card to record attendance. It makes it more difficult to record for someone else by mistake, and so on.
