Start Absence

This portion of the window will start an absence record, using the absence code you entered and the time shown. There are two alternatives:

Case 1 - Absence is started for an employee with the status "Not clocked in".

  1. Select an absence code in the Absence code field by clicking in the field to open a list of codes.
  2. Enter a date when the absence shall start, either in past time (such as yesterday), or use today's date which is the default.
  3. Enter a work schedule. The default schedule shown is the employee's chosen schedule calendar or the alternative entered as a fixed schedule in the Update Employee procedure.

The time is automatically set to the start of regular working hours, according to the selected schedule.

Case 2 - Absence is started for an employee, after attendance was ended in this procedure.

  1. Select an absence code. The date and time is the same as the time for End attendance by default, and can not be changed.
  2. Execute by clicking on Save. An absence record has now been started for this employee. You can report the absence of another employee by selecting an employee in the Show window.
