This tab is used to send messages to an operation within a manufacturing order, or to the user that has created the preparation for the part where the operation is included. The Message setting, in the Update Employee procedure, determines if the tab shall be visible or not.
In order to select a recipient and write a message, you click the Send message field. The recipient alternatives are Next operation, This operation, Prep. by or Optional operation. The message is then sent automatically when the operation is finished/partial reported by Execute.
The recipient of the message
Next operation will send the message to the next operation in the operation flow of the part. The operator who starts the following operation may then read the message under the Message tab in the Start direct work mode.
This operation will send the message to the current operation. This selection can only be used during an interruption, in other words when the operation has not been reported as finished. This means that the operation shall be started again later on, and that you can read the message then.
Preparer will send the message to the user in MONITOR who has created the preparation for the part in which the operation is included. The "preparer" can load the message by using the Incoming Messages procedure.
Optional operation is used to open a window from where you can select any operation in an optional M-order.

The order number is automatically shown for the operation that is being finished. Click the order number field to select another order.
