On the heading row you select a customer for which you want to create a new quote. You can also enter a quote number to load an existing quote.
When you open this procedure, the cursor is automatically positioned in the Customer field. After entering a customer code or a quote number on the heading row, all information about the customer or quote will be loaded and displayed under the Main tab. Under the Rows tab you will see the quote rows on an existing quote.
When you want to link several quotes to the same quote number, you enter a sub-number. This can be used if several variations of the quote rows should be prepared.
You can save quotes with quote number prefixes. A prefix can be optional or mandatory and this is decided with the setting Use prefix to manage quote types? under Order / Quotes under the Sales tab in the Settings procedure. Default prefixes must have been registered in the Order Types / Prefix procedure in the Global Settings.
At the far right of the heading row, you will see a button with a speech bubble if a message has been registered for the customer in the Update Customer procedure. The message will open when you load the customer code. However, you can also open the message by clicking the speech bubble.
