General Information about Translate Part

Why Use This Procedure?

You can translate the name and additional name of a part. The translation is made in order to have the name included in the same language as selected on a customer order or purchase order.

The Translate Part window shows the part name in the company language, such as Swedish etc. The name and additional name of the part have been created in your company language. You translate these names from your company language into other languages.

You can translate in this separate procedure or open a window in the Update Part procedure. This procedure also exists in the Inventory and Purchase modules.

Managing Languages in the System

You update the languages that you want your system to manage in the Languages procedure in the Global Settings module. Please see the Help Function for that procedure to get a description of how the system manages external languages.
