You will find a general description of how to manage lists in MONITOR in the chapter Managing Lists in the System under General in the MONITOR Basics guide.
What Does This Procedure Do?
This procedure is used with the same purpose as the Physical Inventory procedure. The difference is that this procedure allows you to select in which order the physical inventory result will be registered, so that it corresponds to the same order as on the physical inventory list. The parts can be classified and selected in the Create tab in the same way as when the list was created in the Physical Inventory List procedure.
Here the registration of the inventoried balances (inventory results) takes place in a list that is identical to the physical inventory list. The list contains part number and other information, so the only input that is required here is the inventoried balance. In connection with the registration you can also change stock location for a part and change unit to use under inventory. The alternate unit is selected by default for you to inventory in.
In other respects the transactions and updates are made in the same way as in the Physical Inventory procedure, but the inventory is not saved until the list is saved. Under Printout Samples you can see a description and explanation of the list.
Please Note! If a registration of inventoried balance for a part has taken place previously during the same date (for example if there are several stock locations that are inventoried at different times), a question will appear asking if the balance should be added to the previous inventory. It is important that you know whether to answer Yes or No to this question (Yes is selected by default). When choosing No, the registration will be managed as a new physical inventory and the inventory difference is then calculated against the current balance for the part at the time of registration.
What Update Options Exist for this Procedure?
In the list you can update the part’s balance, inventory difference and inventory status, if any. The inventory date, and who performed the inventory, will also be updated. You can enter a description of the physical inventory under the C column.
Can Any Charts Be Displayed?
No charts or graphs can be displayed in this procedure.
