Here you enter the different settings and selections for the forecast generating.
Periods
Here you enter the number of periods ahead in time for which you wish to create forecasts. Forecasts cannot be created for a longer period of time than to the end of the following accounting year. If the entered period of time laps over the current accounting year, the next accounting year as well has to be registered. The next accounting year is registered in the General | Register Accounting Year procedure in the Global Settings module.
The forecast values can be created either from the current period and onward or from the following period and onward. This is entered in the General | Settings procedure in the Global Settings module.
Calculate Based on Periods
Enter the number of previous periods that is to be the basis for the forecast. The system checks the result (= balance) that has been recorded during the current period of time and totals and distributes the result ahead in time.
Budget Chart
Enter the budget chart, according to which the forecast values will be distributed, or use the PopUp function to see the registered budget charts. The budget charts are registered in the Register Budget Chart procedure.
Forecast Responsible
Enter the name of the forecast responsible or use the PopUp function to choose from the reference register. The names have to be registered under the References tab in the Company Info procedure in the Global Settings module. The field can also be left empty.
The forecast responsible can be used as a selection term when printing forecasts, that is, the person that is forecast responsible can print only his/her forecast values, by entering his/her name in the forecast responsible field.
