The Agent Server

The Agent Server is a program used along with the supplement MONITOR Agent and is included in MONITOR. The Agent Server is usually registered and run on the MONITOR database server but it can also be run on a MONITOR client computer. The program runs constantly and handles monitoring tasks that are saved in the Monitoring Tasks procedure. When the Agent Server's monitoring detects that the terms/conditions are fulfilled, it notifies the affected personnel according to the settings for the assignment.

The Agent Server must be registered and configured before it can be used. Read more about this in the chapter Agent Server under Configuration and Maintenance.

Check Monitoring Tasks Already Run and Sent Messages

In the Monitoring Task List procedure, in the Global Settings module, you can use the list type Messages to see the messages sent from the Agent server. By using the list type Task you can see the status and time of the last run monitoring tasks. You can also see if a monitoring task has been run or not. It is also possible to update Status and Description in this procedure.

Those persons responsible for the monitoring tasks should regularly check the status of the last run monitoring tasks and sent messages in the procedure mentioned above.
