In this section, you will find settings that apply to incoming payments.
Basic fee for bank charge for payment in
Here you can enter a default basic fee for bank charge. It is also possible to enter a customer specific bank charge in the Update Customer procedure which will then override any bank charge entered here.
Banks often charge bank charges in connection with international payments. When registering incoming payments in the Register Incoming Payments procedure you can, using the Load basic fee button, load this bank charge or a bank charge entered for the customer that will be entered automatically.
Bank charges are coded on the same account as the payments
If you activate this setting, the bank charge will be coded on the same account as the payment. If this setting is not configured, the bank charge will be coded on the standard account Balance account for bank charges.
Default payment method for incoming payments
Here you can select a default payment method to be used in the Register Incoming Payments procedure. Bank giro is selected by default. However, you can select another payment method in that procedure.
Print ledger/accounting order directly in Register Incoming Payments?
Here you can select whether or not there should be a direct printing of the ledger or the accounting order at incoming payments. A third alternative is to display a question concerning direct printing. You can then, for each payment, select if there should be a printout. The setting is activated by default.
Path to the payment file, BG (BgMax)
Here you enter the file path to the folder which concerns files for incoming BG-payments (BgMax) that you have received from the bank giro. When loading the file via the Payment Matching procedure this file path is used. The confirmation from file is used when loading and automatically checking the accounts receivable from file.
Path to the payment file, PG (Total IN)
Here you enter the file path to the folder which concerns files for incoming PG-payments (Total IN) that you have received from Nordea (PlusGiro). When loading the file via the Payment Matching procedure this file path is used. The confirmation from file is used when loading and automatically checking the accounts receivable from file.
Matching rules for payment confirmation via file
In the Payment Matching procedure it is possible to do an automatic matching of payments in the accounts receivable. Here you enter which terms that the matching will be made against. There are 5 different alternatives.
In order to make a match by using the BG/PG number it is required that the customer's bank giro or PlusGiro number has been registered in the customer register.
Highest allowed difference when matching
When matching payments in the Payment Matching procedure you can here enter the difference in the amounts that will be allowed in order to approve the matching result. The amount is entered in the company currency. If you for example enter a 0 here as the highest allowed difference, then the accounts receivable amount and the paid amount must correspond exactly in order for the automatic matching to take place.
Grace period for cash discount for payments in
Here you enter the days of grace that should apply when cash discount is used. The days of grace is used to make it easier to manage payments in and payment matching when the payment is considered to be "paid in full" and to manage rest amount as cash discount and set the rest amount to 0. Here is an example of how the terms of payment may look like when using cash discount:
Terms of payment 14 days -2%, 30 days net
This means that when using the term above, 2% can be deducted from the invoice amount during payment provided that the payment is made within 14 days. Otherwise the invoice shall be paid in full within 30 days.
Under the Terms of payment tab in the Terms and Conditions procedure you enter the cash discount in % and cash discount in days.
