The window of this procedure contains a table showing all the printer numbers that have been registered in MONITOR. You can enter an optional number of MONITOR printers in this procedure.
The window consists of a table in the upper portion of the window, with a table containing the Printer number, Name, Driver and Port columns.
In order to help you check if a MONITOR printer that is created has a connection to a Windows printer on the computer, there is a symbol to the far right in the table. If a connection exists you will see a yellow happy symbol , but if there is no connection the image is red and sad .
Please Note! Thus, if this image is displayed then it is not possible to print to that MONITOR printer from the computer in question! However, this does not apply if the MONITOR printer has a UNC file path in the Drivers field that points to a locally connected (via for example USB) and shared printer on a computer in the network. In that case you will always see the red symbol, but it is still possible to make printouts.
In the lower part of the window you can select different settings that will override the corresponding settings for the Windows printer. You can make selections regarding orientation, margins, paper size, scale, paper source, quality and duplex settings.
