Alternate Preparation Code

In the Alternate preparation code field, you can enter an alternate preparation code that describes a variant of a configuration. The alternate preparation code is entered with row number for selection groups and selection alternatives.

The alternate preparation code can be used as follows: in the first position of the field you enter the row number for the first selection group to which the selection alternative can be selected, in the second position you enter the row number for the second selection group to which the selection alternative can be selected, etc. In the final position, you enter the row number for the actual selection alternative.

In order to enter the next position in the field, you use space (this is clarified by an underline "_" in the sample below).

Alternate preparation codes can also be entered for selection groups configured as Optional.

Example

Sample of an alternate preparation code.

On row 1, "11" in the alternate preparation code means that selection alternative 1 is a variant to selection group 1.
On row 2, "__32" in the alternate preparation code means that selection alternative 2 is a variant to selection group 3.
On row 3, "_23" in the alternate preparation code means that selection alternative 3 is a variant to selection group 3.

Please Note! Using alternate preparation codes will complicate the calculation. If all sub-calculations are totaled, the total price will not be the same as the one in a calculation of a totally configured part. Read more about this under Addition.
