General Information about Switch Absence Code / Period

The Switch Absence Code / Period procedure is used to create an interruption in one or more absence records. This is done for two different purposes:

• To obtain current values for a salary basis. The absence records of all the absent employees is interrupted and re-started. This way, all the current absences will be included, which would not be possible otherwise.
• To switch the absence code. The absence record of an employee is interrupted and re-started again using another absence code.
