If a manufacturing order/manufacturing order suggestion has been created for this customer order row here you will see the manufacturing order number/manufacturing order suggestion number. Manufacturing order suggestion numbers are shown as "#<suggestion no.>". The purchase order created for this customer order row can also be displayed.
If a manufacturing order/manufacturing order suggestion should be created from the customer order row is determined by the settings Manufacturing order or Manufacturing order suggestion under the Main tab.
The setting Create manufacturing order from customer order must be set to Create M-order or Create M-order suggestion, under Automatic M/P Orders from Customer Orders under the Sales tab in the Settings procedure, to be able to create manufacturing orders or manufacturing order suggestions from customer order rows.
If you have activated the setting Allow edit of M-order no./P-order no. on customer order row, under the same section as the setting above, you can also enter or select another manufacturing order number by using the PopUp feature or F4 in the field.
To be able to create purchase orders from customer order rows, the setting Create purchase order from customer order? must be set to Yes, OK to enter or Yes, default.
Please note that it is not possible to enter or select another manufacturing order number if you have activated the setting Show max quantity, under Requirements Planning under the Inventory tab in the Settings procedure. A "tooltip" is shown when moving the cursor over the M-order number field on the customer order row, which shows information about how to make it possible to edit the field.
If the user hasn't got access to the Register Manufacturing Order procedure you cannot edit the field even though you have activated the setting and checked the M-order box.
