You will find a general description of how to manage lists in MONITOR in the chapter Managing Lists in the System under General in the MONITOR Basics guide.
Why Use This Procedure?
In this procedure you can print labels for parts that are packed in for example cartons, boxes or bags.
Under the Create tab you will find different selections depending on if you have selected a label printer or a regular printer. You can also select which information you want to print on the label, such as part number, name and location.
Label Printer or Ordinary Printer
When printing labels, you can use special label printers that print labels on rolls in 100x50 mm format. We recommend the label printers Direct thermal or Thermal transfer.
If you do not use a specific label printer you can print labels on a regular laser or inkjet printer instead. MONITOR supports five standard label types for A4 page size. You can also print labels in A5 format.
If the text is not properly placed on the label when using an Ordinary printer, you can try to go to Settings | Customize... in the Window menu and select the Printouts tab. There you temporarily deselect the setting MONITOR printer dialog before re-printing. The most common reason why the printout/text is not properly placed on the label is that the margins of the MONITOR printer have not been configured for printouts on label sheets in the Printers procedure. The printer in question might be configured for other printout types.
See printout samples of the label.
