Location

Location appears in different lists, such as Print Pick Lists in the Sales module. You can use location as a selection term in lists such as Physical Inventory List, and view it in Part Info, etc.

A part must always have a stock location, since the stock balance is reported on the location. By default, a new part created in the system is given a stock location called " ******** ".

The Location field is used to enter the part's stock location. You can also modify this information in other update part procedures in the system.

Multiple Stock Locations

If you have activated the setting Use Multiple Locations?, under Locations under the Inventory tab in the Settings procedure, you can also use multiple stock locations for parts. A special window called Multiple locations can be loaded by using the button to the right of the field or by pressing the shortcut key F3.
