New Customer Nonconformity from XML File

In those cases when both the customer and supplier use MONITOR, the customer can send a claim report to the supplier as an XML file in an e-mail message. The supplier can then import the XML file by using "drag and drop" from the e-mail message to this procedure. This way a new customer nonconformity will be created. The supplier can then change to another nonconformity type than Customer nonconformity, if needed. To register new nonconformities from an XML file in an e-mail message is a function included in the MONITOR-to-MONITOR feature.

You drag the attached XML file from the e-mail message and drop it in the under the Register nonconformity tab in the Register Nonconformity procedure. You can also drop the XML file in the Procedure menu in MONITOR. The XML will then be identified and the Register Nonconformity procedure will open automatically.

If the customer code or part number in the XML file was not found in the database or if several possible customer codes were found, there are alternatives to be able to import the XML file to a new customer nonconformity. Dialog boxes are then shown where you can choose customer code or part number, in the same way as when creating new customer orders from XML file.

If all information is correct in the XML file, the new customer nonconformity will be created automatically but it will not be saved. The customer nonconformity must then be completed with additional information such as reject code.

Result Window

A result window appears after the XML file is dropped, the import is made and the information is matched. In this window you can see that a new customer nonconformity has been registered etc.

Different messages may appear in the result window after the import such as information that a customer code or part number in the claim has not been imported or the revision of the part does not coincide.

No data will be highlighted in red when importing a claim report to a customer nonconformity since there is nothing that can be compared with the information in the XML file.

Read more about the result window in the section XML File Dropped but Registration Not Saved in the chapter MONITOR-to-MONITOR in the Using MONITOR Procedures guide.

If everything is OK, you save the nonconformity.
