In this section, you will find settings that apply to quality control.

User with access to finish nonconformities 1-3 (activates access)

Here there are three fields where you can enter up to 3 different users that shall be allowed to finish nonconformity cases, in other words to configure the status 9 (Historical) for nonconformities in the Register Nonconformity procedure.

If the first field is empty, then all users have access and are allowed to finish nonconformities. If you enter a username in the first field, then the user right/access check is activated.

Affect balance in Register Nonconformity?

This setting determines that the nonconformities that are registered can affect stock balances. This is mostly convenient when dealing with supplier nonconformities, but it can also be used for internal nonconformities and customer nonconformities. If nonconformities affect stock balances, you do not have to use the Posterior Rejection procedure. Without the Posterior Rejection, you use the list called Delivery performance from supplier to measure the supplier’s ability to deliver with the right quality, instead of using the list called Supplier rating that is used if you register nonconformities via the Posterior Rejection procedure. The setting is activated by default.

If the nonconformity should affect the balance, the nonconformity number and nonconformity type are saved to the inventory log to have different coding of supplier and customer nonconformities in the Management accounting.

This kind of stock withdrawals do not affect the consumption statistics. However, this was previously done by Posterior Rejection.

Show Extra info tab in Register Nonconformity?

Here you can decide if you want allow Extra info to be registered on nonconformities. If you select one of the "Yes" alternatives here, a tab called Extra info will appear in the Register Nonconformity procedure, where you can enter extra information.

Use category management for nonconformity category

If you check this setting you can display category explanation windows with multiple selection options in the Nonconformity category field in the Register Nonconformity procedure.

The selection terms are created in the Category Management procedure under Tables in the Global Settings module. The category setting for nonconformities also determines the amount of help that will be available under the Create tab for the lists where you can select by Nonconformity category.

If this setting is not activated you can enter nonconformity categories as additional text. You can then enter a maximum of 15 characters. By using the button next to the category field, you will find instructions of how to enter categories. These instructions are entered in the Categories procedure under Tables in the Global Settings module.

Use Outlook integration when e-mailing from Nonconformity Activities

Here you can select if Outlook shall be used during integration of e-mail from the Register Nonconformity procedure. The following alternatives are available:
