Why Use This Procedure?
Chart of Accounts / Standard Accounts is a procedure in which you create some basic tables. These basic tables are used by the system to create accounting orders after customer invoicing, customer payments, supplier invoices, etc.
It is therefore important that these tables are correctly filled in before you start running the system.
The window consists of tabs with a table for each tab. You can create the following tables in this procedure:
Please Note! If the Accounting module is used you will only see the table with standard accounts, which then are the only ones that have to be entered here. The other tables can then be found in the respective procedures in the Accounting module.
The system comes with default accounts according to the basic Chart of Accounts. This applies to the tabs Standard Accounts and Chart of Accounts.
Chart of Accounts / Standard Accounts are registered first, in order to check that the account exists during coding, and to determine if the account shall be recorded with a cost center, cost unit or a project.
The Chart of Accounts is also very useful during coding, as you can open the PopUp window containing selection and sorting options.
It is possible to block important system accounts from adjustment in connection with the invoice coding and payments. The accounts that can be blocked from adjustments are the accounts that the system automatically codes. You will then find a box in front of these accounts which can be checked in order to block the account from adjustment in the coding window.
You should also update sales and purchase accounts as you create product groups. Read more about this in the Product Groups procedure.
Adding and Deleting
Under the Standard Accounts tab, you can only change the account numbers, but under the other tabs you can both add and delete entries.
