This is where you choose which price alternative you want to set for purchased parts that are included in the pre-calculation. The available alternatives are different statistical prices configured by the system, as well as price lists. The default price alternative is configured using the system setting P-parts price alternative during order registration and reporting, under the heading Orders that you will find under the Manufacturing tab in the Settings procedure. You will find additional information about Managing Prices in the System in the MONITOR Basics in the chapter called MONITOR General Information.
You can select the alternative Future supplier price (if this price type is activated) as a price alternative for P-parts. Please note that as opposed to other price alternatives another price alternative can be shown automatically if a future price alternative is missing. The price is shown in italic font if another price than the selected price has been used in the calculation. When recalculating incorporated S-parts, the price used can become the current supplier price even though you have selected future supplier price. The price will be shown in normal text when recalculating S-parts.
If you select Supplier price for the P-parts, it is also possible to include staggered prices and setup price, see below.
Staggered Prices
If you use staggered prices in supplier links on a P-part, which is determined by the setting Use Staggered Sales/Purchase Prices on Parts? under the heading Price management under the Global settings tab in the Settings procedure, the P-parts staggered prices are taken into consideration in a pre-calculation provided that the option Staggered prices has been selected. Staggered prices are managed as follows:
Include Setup Price
If you select Include setup price, the setup price for the P-part will be included in the calculation. The setup price will be included in the price each for the P-part. The setup-price will be distributed as follows:
Please note. By using the setting Use setup prices on parts per customer/supplier/price list? under the heading Price management under the Global settings tab in the Settings procedure, you can enter setup prices also in supplier links for a P-part. If there is a setup price in the active supplier link, this setup price applies. If the setup price is entered as zero (0) in the link, this setup price also applies. If the setup price is empty (null) in the link, the regular setup price for the part applies instead.
