Here you register the service technicians that shall be available in the Register Service Order procedure.
You register the name of the service technicians. You can also link a service technician to an employee number*. A check is then made to make sure that the same employee number is not linked to several service technicians. If you delete a service technician a check is made to see if the service technician is registered on any service order. If so, a warning message appears.
If the service technician is an external partner from another company, you check the box Ext. Then you must also enter a supplier code. The supplier name is shown at the end of the row.
* The Workshop Info module is required in order to select an employee number that in turn must be registered in the Update Employee procedure. For employed service technicians, the employees' calendars are used to calculate the availability when planning a service order in the Register Service Order procedure.
You can also register external service technicians in the Update Employee procedure to also calculate their availability when planning service orders.
