Explanation of the Columns in the List
- Part number of the part.
- Name of the part.
- Type of part (part type). P = Purchased, M = Manufactured, S = Stocked, F = Fictitious and G = Packaging part.
- Revision displays the part's current revision. You can select another revision for the part in the location. This column is only displayed if you have checked the Revision check box under the Show... heading in the Create tab.
- Location shows the part's location(s), displayed in one or several rows in the list.
- Batch number can also be displayed in the list for the location. The batch number can be changed in the list. This column is only displayed if you have checked the Batch number check box under the Show... heading in the Create tab.
- Balance shows the part’s balance prior to (before) inventory. If the value is red, it means that the part has a saved balance that the physical inventory will be compared with.
- Unit can be changed. If the part has an alternate unit, it is selected by default; but you can also change this and perform your inventory using the standard unit. You register units in the Update part procedure and you can find information about this function in the corresponding chapter.
- Alternate unit is indicated for parts with an asterisk (*) in the column to the right of the Unit column. If you selected to perform the inventory using the standard unit, you will see the column heading Alt.
- Inventoried quantity is entered here. If the part is inventoried with a saved balance, the balance is adjusted according to the transactions, if any, that have taken place after the physical inventory was performed.
- Inventory difference shows the difference between inventoried and prior (previous) balance. This is automatically calculated using the balance or saved balance, if any, and is shown after an inventoried quantity has been registered.
- Saved balance is displayed here if it has been saved for the part. Then the Inventory difference will be compared with the value in this field, instead of with the Balance. If there is no saved balance, this field will be empty.
- Last inventory date shows the date when the last physical inventory took place for this part.
- Last inventory balance shows the balance that the part had during the last physical inventory.
- Last inventory difference shows the physical inventory difference that the part had during the last physical inventory.
- Pick location can be checked if the location should be a pick location. This column is only available if you have the supplement function Stock Location System installed.
- ROP (Reorder point) can be entered if you have checked the Pick location option. This column is only available if you have the supplement function Stock Location System installed.
- You can enter a description of the part's physical inventory in the C column. This is useful if you for some reason need to explain such a transaction. The comment can be shown in the following procedures: Historical Inventory Movements, Physical Inventory Difference and in the inventory log in the Part Info.
