General Information about Menu Text

Why Use This Procedure?

The Menu Text procedure is used to adjust the names of the menu headings and menu items found in the Procedure menu. You can also configure the button text - also called "button names" - that are displayed on the buttons in the Module menu, as well as configure the button text that should be displayed on the shortcut keys that can be configured for different procedures in the My windows... toolbar.

For a detailed description of the different menus and toolbars available in the system, please see the MONITOR program window chapter in the MONITOR Basics guide.

If you are using the supplementCustom Reports in your system, you should also enter the name of the menu items and button text that should be linked to Search Forms/Create tabs for the reports created in Crystal Reports. You can have up to 20 customized reports for each module in MONITOR. You will find them grouped under the letter C (Custom Reports) as 20 menu items under Manufacturing, Purchase, Sales, Inventory, Workshop Info, Accounting, Global Settings, Adaptations and System. All in all, you can actually create up to 160 menu items for your own customized reports in the system. Read more about using Custom Reports in the Help Function for that module.

You configure the buttons for shortcut keys under Settings in the My windows... procedure in the Window menu. The button text is only visible if you check the option Show button text under Settings in the Customize... procedure in the Window menu. This option also exists on the Info menu under the right mouse button, when you hold the cursor over toolbar areas.

Both the Module menu (containing the module buttons), the Procedure menu and the toolbar Window functions are visible by default. You can also move or hide certain parts, when needed. You can also configure this using the alternatives under Settings under Customize.... The same alternatives also exist on the Info menu under the right mouse button, when you hold the cursor over toolbar areas.
