The Manufacturing Tab

Under the Manufacturing tab you will find part information that relates to the Manufacturing module.

The Calculations heading shows calculation information about current and future standard prices, with a distribution of the material cost, the processing cost etc., if the standard price comes from a saved calculation.

Under the Miscellaneous heading you can enter Quantity/Location, Administrator, SO mark-up exception (or SC mark-up exception) and Default label type.

Under the Preparation info heading you will find information from the part's preparation.

The tab contains a few buttons, which can be used to see previously saved calculations, as well as to enter a comment that can be included as the default order text on manufacturing orders.

By using the button Document Viewer you can link external documents such as part drawings. The linked documents are also displayed on the part's material row on manufacturing order and can be printed when you print manufacturing orders. If it is a purchase part and you have activated the setting Create own additional text numbers on M-orders?, under Orders under the Manufacturing tab in the Settings procedure, the following applies: If an external document is linked under the button Document Viewer and an external document is linked to the part's material row in a preparation, both documents will be added to the part's material row on the manufacturing order.

You can link external documents if you have installed the supplement Document Viewing. The documents that you link to the part can be printed when you print manufacturing orders, and can be viewed on your screen at different places in the system. Usually, drawings are linked to parts this way. For each operation in the preparation, you can link documents such as work flow instructions, inspection instructions etc. Read more about the Comment window and the button Document Viewer in the MONITOR General Information chapter in the MONITOR Basics.
