General Information about Consists of (Structure List)

What Does This Procedure Do?

In this procedure you can in the Search Form see the underlying parts for a structure part (main part). You can print a report (structure list) on the underlying parts and material or operations for the selected part. The structure list displays a complete breakdown of the part in as many levels as you wish. As a complement you can use the BOM / Operation List procedure, which shows what a structure part consists of at one level.

Here you can also print instructions that were configured for a part during the preparation. If the supplement Tool Management has been installed, you can also choose to print the linked tools for the operations in the list.

If you are using operation or material overflow, it will be displayed here. Setup quantity and Extra(%) will be displayed in information boxes in the structure map and in a printed list per operation for reporting the setup quantity and Extra(%) per material for reporting the share of material overflow in a percentage form. Operation and material overflow are configured by a setting under the heading Preparation under the Manufacturing tab in the Settings.

By using the Info menu, when you right-click in the window, you can access additional information boxes for operations and material in the structure map.

You can export the level and operation lists in the structure map. These are then saved as tab separated text files.

Alternate Preparation

The structures are created in the Preparation procedure. If you, during the preparation, have configured terms for incorporated operations or material for a part (so-called "alternate preparation"), you can view these in the Structure list. Read more about how terms and conditions affect this procedure under Using Alternate Preparations and the Consists of (Structure List) Procedure.

Configuration in Consists of (Structure List)

If you have installed the supplement Product Configurator and you load a configurable part (part linked to a configuration group) in the search form, the configuration window opens automatically. You can then use this window to configure the product before the structure is loaded. Please read more about the configuration window under the chapter Product Configurator in the Using MONITOR Procedures guide.

You can load the configuration window manually on a manufacturing order row via the button under the Conf. column.

Can Any Charts Be Displayed?

The right portion of the window consists of a graphic image of a structure map. There you can see all the incorporated parts and operations in the number of levels you have entered, as well as the part types of each respective part. The operations and the part types; Purchased, Manufactured, Stocked and Fictitious are represented by separate symbols in different colors. You can see a key to the symbols in the lower part of the Search Form.
