The Reminder Button
Under the Reminder button you can configure reminder settings for the user. Here you can configure whether or not the user in question should get reminders of activities that he/she is responsible for. This applies to activities on customer, quote, customer order, supplier, inquiry, purchase order, part, nonconformity, project, blanket order, service order and agreement. Here you can also activate monitoring functions for purchasers (buyers) and signed authorizers, respectively.
The Reminder window.
Settings
Here you create the pre-requisites for activity reminders and monitoring functions.
- Use reminders - If the user should be reminded about activities, you should check this check box. For new users this setting is checked by default.
- Advising - If you activate this setting a reminder is shown as a discreet speech bubble at the bottom of the MONITOR window and you will hear a sound signal. The speech bubble is shown for 7 seconds when the user has activities that should be attended to. The sound signal is by default using the Windows "notify.wav".
Tip! If you instead want to use a specific sound signal it is possible to select another sound file under Audio in the Control Panel in Windows. The program event under Audio that is affected is the MONITOR Activity reminder.
- Show reminder window automatically - If you check this setting, the reminder window will automatically open to remind the user of activities to attend to. It is possible to select both 'Advising' and 'Show reminder window automatically'. When the reminder window is displayed automatically, the user will hear the same sound signal as when advising. This setting is selected by default.
- In advance - Here you can select how many days in advance that the user should receive reminders for activities. This setting is by default set to 0 (zero) which means that you only get reminders regarding activities whose planned finish dates have passed. If the user wishes to receive the reminder one day prior to the due date or planned finish, that is, the user want to see the activities that should be done tomorrow, then this setting should be set to one (1).
- Reminder about started activities - If you check this setting, the user will receive reminders regarding started activities, that is, activities with status Started. This box is not checked by default.
- Previous activity finished - If you check this setting, the alternative Previous activity finished will be selected by default in the reminder window. Then you will only see reminders ready to be reported, that is, either the first activity under the Activities tab or the activity where the previous operation is reported as Finished.
Activities
In this section of the window you select of which activities that a user will get reminders. The available alternatives are:
- Customer activities - this alternative will remind the user of activities registered under the CRM tab in the Update Customer or Customer Info procedures where the reminder function is activated.

This takes place regardless of how the abovementioned setting "Reminder about started activities" has been configured.
